Chemical peels and Micro Dermabrasion treatments are both designed to remove dead skin from the epidermis. Micro Dermabrasion treatments actually remove the dead skin during the actual treatment while chemical peels actually peel 3-5 days after the chemical is applied to your skin. There are advantages for both treatments depending on what you are trying to correct or prevent. See one of our MedSpa Aestheticians for a free skin care consultation to find out why which treatment is best for your skin.
MedSpa does not offer hair services at this time, however we do offer customized manicures and pedicures in addition to our regular skin and body care services.
The system we use is called the Lumenis IPL Quantum. The IPL Quantum uses Intense Pulsed Light to damage the hair follicle. The machines treatment head emits light energy and then the light attaches itself to pigment. The light travels down the hair follicle to the hair follicle bed. Light creates heat and the heat begins to penetrate, impair, and damage the hair follicle bed. After enough damage is done to the hair follicle bed there will be several changes and a reduction in the amount of hair growth.
Please keep in mind that results vary from person to person depending on: the number of treatments required for the individual, hair color, hair density, hair growth cycle, skin color (including any tanning), and the desired cosmetic effects. Laser Hair Removal is a machine that emits light and this light attaches itself to pigment.
